Set it up
You need Choppy Pro and an account with your assistant. Use this URL wherever you’re asked for one:

Claude
- Open claude.ai or the Claude desktop app and go to Customize → Connectors.
- Tap +, then Add custom connector.
- Name it “Choppy”, paste the connector URL and tap Add.
- Tap Connect and sign in to Choppy to approve access.
ChatGPT
- On chatgpt.com, open Settings → Security and turn on Developer mode.
- In the Apps section, tap + to create an app.
- Name it “Choppy” and paste the connector URL.
- Sign in to Choppy to approve access.
Gemini
- On gemini.google.com, open Settings → Connected Apps.
- Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app.
- Paste the connector URL and tap Next.
- Sign in to Choppy to approve access.
Other
- In your client’s settings, add a remote (HTTP) MCP server with the connector URL. In Claude Code:

- The Choppy tools appear in your client, ready to use.
You stay in control
You approve every assistant
The URL alone gives no access. Each assistant has to be signed in with your Choppy account and approved by you.
Disconnect instantly
In the app, Settings → Data → Connectors lists every connected assistant. Remove one and its access ends.
Your assistant’s terms apply
What Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini do with your conversations, including the flight data they read, is covered by that provider’s terms and your settings there.

Frequently asked questions
Which AI assistants work with Choppy?
Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, plus any client that supports remote MCP servers, such as Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code. They all connect through the same URL: https://api.choppy-app.com/mcp.
Do I need a paid AI plan?
It depends on the assistant. Claude’s free plan includes one custom connector. ChatGPT needs a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan with Developer mode. Gemini custom apps are currently available in the US, for personal accounts, 18+, in English. On the Choppy side you need Choppy Pro.
Can the assistant change my logbook?
Yes. It can log new flights, edit or delete flights, add aircraft and crew, and update your documents and preferences. It asks you to confirm before editing or deleting a flight, and every change syncs to your devices.
Are the flight time limitation answers reliable?
They come from Choppy’s FTL engine, which covers EASA (ORO.FTL and CS-FTL.1) and FAA 117 rules: maximum FDP, latest end, rest, cumulative limits and rotation checks. They are decision support, not a legal reference. Your operator’s OM-A and your authority have the final word.
How do I disconnect an assistant?
Open Choppy and go to Settings → Data → Connectors. Every connected assistant is listed there; remove one and its access ends straight away.
What happens to my data?
The assistant only sees your logbook after you sign in and approve it, and only while it stays connected. What the assistant’s provider does with your conversations is governed by their terms and your settings with them.
Can it import my old logbook or roster file?
File imports still go through the importer in the Choppy app, which reads roster files from 80+ airlines and logbook exports as PDF or CSV. The assistant is best for day-to-day work: you can paste roster text into the chat and ask it to log the flights.
